Abstract :
This study highlights the stigmatization experienced by communities affected by the Ebola virus disease in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Indeed, Ebola virus desease, an epidemic that has reached its 17th outbreakn has become one of the deadliest diseases, bringing mourning to families each time it reappears. The affected communities express distrust toxard national political authorities because they feel they are not being adequately cared for. Instead, it is often international organizations that provide support and address the multiple consequences of the epidemic. As a result, the growing divide between local communities and state authorities has fostered a latent mistrust of political leaders among these populations. This mistrust is reflected in the boycott of health measures implemented by the authorities.
