Abstract :
Research is increasingly converging on the paradigmatic shift within Information and Communication Sciences: moving from a professionalization paradigm toward a paradigm based on the construction of cognitive schemas or an epistemological paradigm. Understanding the scientific history of these disciplines is therefore essential, given that their origins are linked to the Macy Conferences held in the United States between 1946 and 1953. These forums fostered the development of a science of the mind, yielding innovative outcomes such as cybernetics, Artificial Intelligence, and the concept of feedback. The triangulation of Information and Communication Sciences, Macy Conferences, and Artificial Intelligence provides a crucial basis for the epistemological justification of addressing Artificial Intelligence within the fields of Information, Communication, and Media.
