Abstract :
he concept of superpower occupies a prominent place in the analysis of contemporary international relations. This study explores how the United States embodies this status, drawing on its unparalleled military, economic, diplomatic, and cultural power. Thus, our reflection (article) examines the foundations of the concept and the criteria that define a superpower, before explaining and analyzing the roles and advantages this status confers on the United States on the international stage. Subsequently, it highlights the abuses associated with this dominant position, expressed through unilateralism, contested interventions, and the American marginalization of multilateralism.
